  65 year old with orthopedic hardware in the left ankle presented with redness of the leg and consitutional symptoms. Examination revealed a sinus tract (arrow) draining purulent material that was positive for a coagulase negative staphylococcus. Patient is currently on long term suppression with oral antibiotics waiting for hardware to be removed.

  65 year old with recent left ankle surgery who developed a sinus tract consistent with an orthopedic hardware infection. Patient presented with fever and increased redness of the left leg with well demarcated edges. The cellulitis resolved with cefazolin therapy.
