Michael Green, MD, MPH, is professor of
pediatrics and surgery in the Department of Pediatrics, University of
Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is an attending physician in the Division of
Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Diseases of the Children’s Hospital of
Pittsburgh. He received his undergraduate and MD degrees from the University of
Illinois and subsequently completed his residency in pediatrics as well as his
fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at the Children’s Hospital of
Pittsburgh. During his fellowship, he completed an MPH in infectious diseases
epidemiology at the Graduate School of Public Health of the University of
Pittsburgh. His research interests include infectious complications of solid
organ transplantation, Epstein Barr viral infections and post-transplant
lymphoproliferative disease, antibiotic resistance and Group A streptococcal
infections.
