Dr Imad Tleyjeh is the
Director of Research Center at King Fahd Medical City (KFMC), Riyadh. He is also
a Consultant and Head of Infectious Diseases Division at KFMC and Adjunct
Associate Professor of Medicine and Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at Mayo
Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, USA. He is board certified in Internal
Medicine from Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA and in Infectious Diseases from
Mayo Clinic, USA. He also completed a post-doctoral master's degree in Clinical
Research (Epidemiology and Biostatistics) from Mayo graduate school. He has
special interest and experience in conducting epidemiological studies in
infectious diseases, research methodology and evidence based medicine. He is the
chair of the Infective Endocarditis International Expert Group- for the Global
Burden of Diseases Project funded by the Gates Foundation. He has written 3 book
chapters and around 55 peer reviewed international publications in high-impact
journals and numerous abstracts in conferences proceedings. He serves as a peer
reviewer for more than 25 international medical journals. He has received
several national and international achievements awards.
