Dr. Lindsay is a Professor of Parasitology at the Virginia-Maryland Regional
College of Veterinary Medicine. His research over the last 20 years has been on
the biology of intestinal coccidial parasites (Isospora and Cryptosporidium) and
Toxoplasma gondii. In 2000, he received the Henry Baldwin Ward medal in
recognition of his contributions to Parasitology from the American Society of
Parasitologists. He is Associate Editor for the Journal of Parasitology, the
International Journal for Parasitology, and the Journal of Eukaryotic
Microbiology.
He has been chairman of the Toxoplasma section of the International Workshops on
Opportunistic Protists in 1997, 1999, 2001, and 2003. He is on the advisory
board of the Protist collection of the American Type Culture Collection.
