Ryan Fagan, MD,
MPH is a Lieutenant Commander in the US Public Health Service, is ABIM-certified
in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases, and works as a Staff
Epidemiologist in the Division of Foodborne, Bacterial, and Mycotic Diseases at
CDC. Dr. Fagan's current responsibilities at CDC include staffing the emergency
botulism consultation and antitoxin release service, maintaining botulinum
antitoxin protocols, and supporting investigations of outbreaks of other
bacterial foodborne pathogens. Before his current assignment, Dr.
Fagan completed two years as a CDC Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with
the Alaska Section of Epidemiology, where he responded to a variety of
infectious diseases outbreaks and other public health emergencies, including
foodborne botulism outbreaks among Alaska Natives. |
