Dr. Ziran is a graduate of Case Western
Reserve University School of Medicine. He completed an AO International
Fellowship in orthopaedic surgery at Inselspital Bern, Switzerland and
fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology at University of California, Davis
Medical Center, Sacramento, California. He is certified by the American Board of
Orthopaedic Surgery.
A
noted author and researcher, Dr. Ziran has published numerous articles regarding
complex orthopaedic injury and repair. He has given over 65 invited lectureships
all throughout the world.
Dr. Ziran’s research interests include social impact fracture in the elderly,
complex fractures: peri-articular, pelvic and acetabulum, post-traumatic
conditions: non-union, deformity, bone healing: problems and enhancements,
infections: acute and chronic osteomyelitis and development and application of
new technologies.
He currently serves as Associated Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at
Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio and holds
an honorary professorship in Orthopaedic Surgery at University Del Rosario in
Bogotá, Colombia.
