Angela Kashuba received her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy Degree from the University of
Toronto in 1990, and her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from SUNY Buffalo in 1995.
She completed a residency at Women’s College Hospital, at a pharmacology
research fellowship at the Clinical Pharmacology Research Center at Bassett
Healthcare in Cooperstown, NY. She has been on faculty at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 1997, and is currently an Associate
Professor and Director of the UNC Center for AIDS Research Clinical Pharmacology
and Analytical Chemistry Laboratory. She is the 2009 recipient of the Leon I.
Goldberg Young Investigator Award from the American Society of Clinical
Pharmacology and Therapeutics. Angela Kashuba has authored over 80 publications
and has received ~$8 million in research funding. She leads a research group
focused on using antiretrovirals to prevent HIV transmission and understanding
and predicting drug interactions.
