Dr. Hingwe attended medical School at MIMER Medical College in Pune, India. He completed his residency and an infectious disease fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Areas of interest include Gram negative infections, particularly MDR Acinetobacter and ESBL E.Coli and infection control.
